This was my first time to participate in the children play. It was really nice to work with those three other actors and the fantastic director.
The play is about the wood, the planets, the natural
world, and our human imagination. When we
discuss the content, we recalled our memory
between the outside environment and ourselves.
What if the trees and the wood can speak, and have their own feeling?  Thus, we imagine the trees have some characteristics are similar to some
children. Like they cannot stop easily, they cannot see very well, they cannot walk independently. Who have the disable body but also have their natural innocence and can have the right to express themselves.
The performance was really fresh to me because these young audience (about 5-7 years old) would need to follow our pace and participating in the process. The smile and the warm response from the audience were really memorable. Sometimes, the young little kids' reaction could let our story become more interesting and impressive.
And I learnt a lot from this production, and became more confident and comfortable when I perform a
play for children.

Project |Belle Reprieve 2015
played Stella

Script| Lois Weaver, Peggy Shaw, Bette Bourne,                   Paul Shaw
Director| PENG HSU
Production| Tainaner Ensemble

This play is a work to deconstruct the classic play called A Streetcar Named Desire. In 1991, it
debuted in America by Split Britches. In the script,Stanley and Stella change to be the lesbian couples. It also changed Blanche to be a drag queen , and Mitch to be a fairy. In addition, the play also let the four characters to find the problems of personal identity, and let the character want to fight for their own right to reverse the tragic fate.

To me, the production was very meaningful. Because after I graduated from college, this production is my first time to perform in the big show. In this play, we develop some personal monologues to replace the original parts. We put some Taiwanese symbols to let the play in localization. Like the coke Stella likes to drink, replaced by the bubble milk tea, and we also let the text more general and clear to the audience.

Project |The Birthday Variation 2014
played YI-JUN

This play is about the girl in her 18 years-old birthday, she decide to suicide because her disappointment to her own life. However, she learned to live in a more optimistic way after she faced her dead mother and the strangers who also helped her to escape from the death in a flight crash accident.

In this play, we use the puppet to be the girl herself in the part  the girl recalled the memories of accompanying with her mother. Thus, we need to operate the puppet together. Let the little girl puppet come alive. The most different part is the point of view that we needed to alter the puppet to the accurate way to let the little girl vividly act on the stage. However, I love to learn the skills of puppetry performing.
Project |The Re-
Four Stories By Gertrude Stein 2014

original|Gertrude Stein
adapter and director| PENG HSU
production| course DirectingIII performance

This play is combined by the four different works of Gertrude Stein who was an American writer of novels, plays and even poetry. It was a very wonderful experience to work together with my friends. we tried to change our usual way to perform on the stage. We use the differnt sound and body language to work Gertrude Stein's Language.

My favorite text is from part of her poem named Sacred Emily. It is a circular sentence: Rose is a Rose is a Rose is a Rose. And when we repeat the sentence several times, we can see the true red of a rose. This production let us have the possibility to free our mind and stir up our imagination .
